From raw stalk to building material

We take raw hemp stalk grown by New York farmers and process it on-site using a decorticator, separating it into hurd, the woody core, and bast fiber. That hurd becomes the raw material our own line of construction products, including wallboard, insulation, and panel materials. Unlike a facility that only processes raw material for someone else's factory, we process and manufacture, capturing value at every stage.

Bridging the Northeast's $8.24 Billion Market Gap

New York saw real momentum in industrial hemp starting in 2016, farmers were licensed, acreage was planted, interest was high. But the state never built the processing capacity to turn that crop into a sellable product, so farmer interest faded. At the same time, New York's building codes are moving toward lower-carbon construction materials under the CLCPA, and in New York City specifically, Local Law 97 now fines building owners for exceeding carbon emissions caps, making carbon-negative materials a direct financial advantage, not just a compliance checkbox. Hemp-based building products are carbon-negative, putting our product line directly in line with where the industry is headed. Once Phase 0 is operational, we project sequestering approximately 6,800 tonnes of CO₂ per year, directly helping prime contractors avoid Local Law 97 penalties and meet their broader ESG goals.

Building with the right partners

We're supported by a strong network of partners: Cornell AgriTech on the Ursa 'Alta' hemp cultivar, bred specifically to stay within New York's legal THC threshold, and Cornell's Center for Materials Research on testing and validating our building material formulations. We're also working with Condor Seed Production on our first-year seed supply, and with Agricultural Development Services to build our grower network across New York farms.

This project is built around bringing sustainable industry and jobs back to New York's Southern Tier — starting in Schuyler County, with skilled technical and management roles on-site, paired with a genuine effort to hire and train locally rather than import an outside workforce. We're approaching the region as a long-term neighbor, not a short-term operator.
